Greg and I spent the weekend about an hour south of the city in a place called Kankakee. Our neighbors who live 3 doors down from us, John and Linda, went there to house sit for Linda's parents, and they invited us along! It was a big house on a farm basically, and it was super enjoyable just hanging out with friends and being out of the city. We had plenty to drink Saturday night, played pool, bags, and sat in the hot tub, made a nice dinner on the grill and hung out on the patio on a warm summer night. We went golfing the next day and played as couples for teams. We ended up even at the end, and I have never played a full 18 holes, it can actually get quite tiring. Anywho, it was a great time, and they are great friends to have in the city
As Greg really gets back into the grind of things at school, I on the other hand have a lot of free time:-) Lots of little things to do, the whole official name change thing, finish the little unpacking we have left, thank you cards for the wedding gifts, preparing for Lindsey's visit (and the potential arrival of Pebs!). Life is good!
